JOB OPPORTUNITIES
GENERAL DISCUSSION - since we are so narrowly focused, the generic job descriptions listed below will give you a very good idea of the jobs we work and the people we recruit. Our high priority jobs will be listed on the "Hot Jobs" page. Regarding four year engineering degrees, some companies require them and others do not. If you do not have a four year engineering degree, bring this to our attention.
RESUME SUBMITTALS - all resumes should be submitted by email in Word doc format to dale@foxridgeservices.com. We do not alter resumes without permission of the candidate. We can not accept resumes in pdf format as we must attach our company name and contact information to each resume before submitting to our clients.
TECHNICAL ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT - we recruit and place managers up to and including VP of Engineering. Managers at the VP and Director level must have experience managing multi discipline groups (hardware, software, mechanical, etc.). Managers at the Department and Section level must have specific technical experience compatible with the work being done in the relevant department or section.
SOFTWARE ENGINEERS - the majority of our software jobs are from engineering companies rather than IT companies. We almost always have open job requisitions from our clients in two areas: embedded real time/C/C++ and Windows/C/C++. From time to time we are also looking for people with a Java/J2EE background. We have one major account in Fairfield County with an ongoing need for contract engineers with C/C++/Java experience - any experience with Python would be a big plus.
HARDWARE ENGINEERS - we almost always have open job requisitions for digital design engineers with board design and/or single board computer design experience. FPGA and/or CPLD experience is usually a plus for these jobs. We have recently seen an upsurge in requests for analog design engineers - particularly those with either power systems experience or electric drive experience.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE TEST - most of our clients do their own hardware and software test so we are usually looking for people with experience testing the hardware and software described above. MECHANICAL ENGINEERS - we usually get several requests a year from our client companies for mechanical engineers. These are usually mid to senior level positions. Most require proficiency with a CAD system such as Pro-E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc. The senior positions usually require structural and/or thermal analysis skills.
