SOFTWARE
Software Engineer (Contract, Multiple Openings) - Wilton Area - long term, 6 months+ - C/C++ required, Java/Python preferred. Four year engineering degree preferred. Manager likes to see people with a diverse background and experience from several different companies as opposed to say 20-30 years at one company. As a rule, the manager wants senior level people but recently has also asked to see mid-level people with 2-5 years experience. This is an open ended requirement and will be posted until further notice. (Two openings as of 7/22/09)
Senior Software Engineer (Direct Hire, Multiple Openings) - Danbury Area - strong real time embedded C/C++ required. Manager wants to see experience with drives, motor controls, etc. Proficient with use of emulators to debug software on circuit cards. Would like to see: Microsoft Visual Source Safe (VSS), MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Powewrpoint, Adobe Acrobat and/or MS Visio. Four year engineering degree preferred. Must be US Citizen. (The requirement for drives and motor control experience has been a problem - not too many people around with this.)
Senior Software Engineer (Contract) - Danbury Area - same skill set as above. Six month contract - may go longer (usually do).
Embedded Software Applications Engineer (Direct Hire) - Shelton Area - This position is for an embedded application engineer to support new sales and existing installations. The position requires an innovative, intelligent self-starter to work closely with customers, sales, and other engineers to deliver effective, low maintenance solutions for a wide variety of product applications. Familiarity with electronics, embedded controls, assembly, Pascal, Windows software, and system design is required. Solid written and verbal
communication skills are a must. Experience with creating detailed documentation is a requirement. Ability to travel internationally is required. This position involves up to 25% travel. The engineer in this position is expected to assume responsibility for assigned tasks, ensuring that they are completed effectively in a timely manner with minimal supervision. (We have filled this position - the job will remain posted until the individual starts.)
HARDWARE
Senior Digital Design Engineer (Direct Hire) - Danbury Area - strong digital design background - FPGA's and/or CPLD's - preferably with VHDL - some analog experience would be nice but is not a requirement. Defense experience a plus. Must be US Citizen. (As of 7/22/09, this position is on hold but is expected to become active again in late summer or early fall - we would still encourage qualified candidates to apply as this could change at any time.)
Senior Electrical Engineer (Direct Hire) - Shelton Area - This person will work with engineers doing development and testing which requires a through knowledge of electronic circuits both analog and digital and being able to trouble shoot down to the component level. Responsibilities include creation of bills of materials, schematics, customer drawings (AutoCad), test procedures and project schedules. Work with sales on quotation estimates. Advise the test department as required with testing and repairing product. Assist the production/purchasing manager with every day activities such as personnel job assignments, scheduling, selecting vendors and negotiating parts or components that need to be ordered. Good communication skills are required for discussions with customers when assisting with installations and service. Field service in U.S.A. and South America may be required. Knowledge of power electronics using both SCR’s and power transistors is a plus. BSEE with 5-10 years experience. (This is currently our highest priority as we just filled the software position at this company and the hardware manager now wants us to fill his position.)
Senior Electrical Engineer (Direct Hire) - Danbury Area -
Responsible for the design of power electronics for Electric Motor Drives. Fully accountable for development of system power technology, pulse width modulation control techniques for converters and inverters, AC synchronous motor drive circuit design, rectifiers and converter designs, analog simulations and modeling of power conversion circuits. (We also need test engineers with power electronics and motor controls experience.)
MECHANICAL
Mechanical Design Engineer (Mid-Level and Senior) - Danbury Area - will be responsible for mechanical design of electronics packaging such as chassis, card cages, etc. Should have thermal and structural (shock and vibration) analysis experience. Experience with Pro-E is required. BSME preferred.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
Software Engineer - (Direct Hire, Contract or Contract to Hire) - Stratford Area - ColdFusion MX, .NET Advanced HTML Design, Microsoft SQL 2000 and 2005, Crystal Reports. (This is a new requirement)
